Who is Professor James Phelps

James Phelps, Ph.D., CCISO, is our company owner and lead editor and author. He conducts final reviews of all work before it is returned to clients.

A polymath with expertise in multiple disciplines from Risk Assessment and Management to Emergency Management and Disaster Response, GIS, and Business Continuity of Operations.

A Certified CISO he has Cyber Security Management, GRC, and associated education/training and writing experience.

With recognized expertise in Border/Homeland/National Security; Criminal Justice; U.S./World/Military History; Nuclear Power Plant operations, repairs, and management; Critical Infrastructure Protection; and much more. He brings a holistic approach to all projects.

Dr. Phelps served in the U.S. Navy as a Nuclear Power Plant operator and supervisor. He has traveled internationally to many countries and maintains close contact with industry and financial experts world wide. Frequently called upon to comment and inform media, and online discussions, you can find him as a regular participant on Homeland Security off the Record.

His books span the gamut from International Police Development to Cybersecurity communications between technicians and management. He writes articles on terrorism, war, predicting the future, historical topics, and analysis of intelligence for practical decision makers.
